What is cecal poop?

Thanks for the info, I had been noticing this for awhile, especially when I added the pullets to the adults pen, worried they were sick, now I know its normal...Probably have seen it all along but because I am being hyper aware right now was worried.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was worried. I DID think it was strange that there were so many normal droppings as well as these that I thought were unusual. I was also concerned that I had fed them something that did not agree with them.

I havent noticed it yet. But i havent had chickens that long either. But i DEFINITELY thought something was wrong with my chickens..hahaa..i had honestly already put a pile of it on a peice of cardboard and took a picture of it about to post it on this site !

I seriously thought something was wrong with 2 of my chickens, I guess I should stop worrying.

Now I am on the topic already ... how often would you provide your chickens with:
1. dewormer
2. probiotics in form of water or yogurt

The past week I put a small bowl with live culture yogurt with the ladies, and it's finished in no time, apparently they like it a lot

Welcome to BYC!

Glad you're cleared up on the cecals.
Here's some more reference information for you.
Good visual references for all kinds of poops,
just don't jump to any terrible conclusions too quickly:

Your other questions are probably best searched for separately.
There are many opinions, variables, and situations that dictate the use of wormers and probiotics.
Tons of threads about both.
