What is cecal poop?

Avian biology is fascinating to me. A few years ago when I turned 50 I bought myself a big birthday present. I got the Cornell Handbook of Bird Biology (just the book, not the course):

Amazing stuff in there. The only problem with the book is it's so big and heavy.
I've purchased that one too! Great reference book.

I just stumbled across this thread, hopefully someone is out there! Is this cecal poop?

Is it common for cecal poop to be almost frothy and light tan colored? I am trying to figure out if its cecal poop or nodular tapeworms....but in the morning the poops in the coop are all normal looking.

When mine have foamy, frothy poop it usually means they have worms or protozoal infection. Can you post pictures of the poop?

BYC is the only place where folks can discuss chicken poop without shame.

Has anyone noticed that the very minute that you finish scooping, of those who do, the poop in the run or coop that every chicken cuts loose with a cecal?
And I thought they were just horrid to me.

I posted in a new thread but here are some pics . That last one is the runniest I have seen. Recently added a b supplement to the water just before the increase in weird poo. Went back to normal water for now

Occasional foamy and/or juicy cecal is not cause for alarm, IMO.
If constant, then that may be another story.
