What is he doing?

Hello Enola, I got him from a chicken co-op 12 klm from my town in Oakey, Queensland Australia, why do you ask?

Because he has a tail. Here in the USA our Araucanas are not bred with a tail. He is a gorgeous color!

Is he a bantam or are you sure he is 6-7 months, he looks a lot younger than that from the picture... if you got him three weeks ago he may be around 10 weeks old now, that seems closer to what he looks like in the picture.

I don't think he is a bantam, the owners of the co-op said that he was about 6/7 months but never mentioned anything about being a bantam,said that's the size of him but he he will get bigger in width ,he does look even smaller compared to the Sussex who is a really big girl.

Oh wow I didn't realise that, I have been looking at American breeds too, well now that its been pointed out I'll have to have another look to compare your breed without tail feathers. He is a beautiful color like a slate blue, he was really sulky when I got him but with me visiting the coop several times a day he is getting used to me..
