What is the difference in these two?

I have in my flock 2 Cuckoo Maran Hens, I see pictures of other peoples flock and they have Plymouth Rock hens, looking at the two what makes them different?

Leg color for one thing. Egg color. The black and white "striping" on the marans isn't as neat as the rock. CM's will sometimes have feathered legs.

I did get some eggs off the Marans till they stopped and yes their eggs are chocolate coloured, they were medium size and nice too lol.

Well Cuckoo Marans have a pattern similar to a Dominique rather than a Barred Plymouth Rock. Cuckoo Marans have white beaks, white legs, and French lines have feathered legs. Barred Plymouth Rocks have yellow beaks and yellow legs with a dark wash over.

"Cuckoo" is more of a "V" stripes ... "Barred" is more straight across stripes ...

Barred rocks have lower tail set, plus clean (no feathers) yellow legs and yellow skin, and lay light brown eggs
