The house we want to move to in 6 months is only a few km from where I saw this bird - so hopefully I can!
Definitely a curlew - I have other photos as well but this was the best one - also the dowitcher seems to be Asian/American while the curlew is from Queensland - which is here. So I think it's the curlew. Pretty sure, anyway.
