What is with some women......................

My son is a pitboss down here. I'm going to ask him to tell me some stories. Yours were good, I have to find out if he has some good ones too.

It occurs to me that some men (and women, for that matter) may be a little "off", perhaps because of autism or other related disorders. They may have a hard time with some of the finer aspects of social interaction, and come across as too forward or boorish. It's not their fault, and I'm inclined to give people the benefit of a doubt, because you just never know.

You are true to your name. I hadn't thought about the possibility of it being beyond their control. It is a very nice way to look at the situation. I will try to think about that some.

There was a woman in Port Angeles, Wa (Rosalee) that I worked with at one time. She, like you was able to find a way to give someone the benefit of the doubt in almost every situation. I really admired her for that. I wonder what she is doing now...... You aren't her are you?

weaveagarden, no I am not that person but she sounds like a very pleasant person to emulate. (My name is Amy, hence amyable

I suggested this because one of my brothers is on the autism spectrum, and I know there are things he will never really understand (like sarcasm) and will probably come across to some people the wrong way. He is positively brilliant in many ways, but social interaction stumps him. I have to remind myself of that fact when I react to others; it would kill me to be rude and find out the person was simply special in their own way. Now, there are brutish jerks out there, but until I know for sure I try to be nice.

That was a very nice compliment and I appreciate it. And I love your name as well, it even sounds beautiful, as I'm sure you are!

That reminds me of a couple we know, and the story of how they met . . . I can't believe I just now thought of it, because they're my SO's best friends and I simply adore them.

He was riding his bike home from work, and decided that he'd scream out "You're gorgeous!" to everyone walking along the side of the streets. This was very early in the morning, so there were only a few people out. Most people ignored him or gave him weird looks, but when he passed her she screamed out, "I love you!" He thought it was so neat that she responded like that that he turned around and they got to talking. If he hadn't been complimenting strangers like a deranged maniac, they would have never met, and I think that is just the neatest thing.

Cool story!!!! However, this current middle eastern man that has professed his undying love for me is now blocked.

Well, if you weren't such a darned, good looking cat, jumping around suggestively then the poor man wouldn't have gotten ideas about you.
