WHAT is wrong with my hens EYE!

I have noticed this the last 3 days. I am going to have build a quarantine pen and get some tylan. I am not going to be able to move her tonight. It will have to be in the morning as bad as i hate it.

Would it be alright for me to just humanely kill it in the morning? I dont think it would be possible for me to separate it...

I can't suggest what you do. That would be your decision.

Can you bring her in and let her sleep in the laundry room or bathroom room or somewhere quiet until you can figure something out?

To be real honest with you, you will NEVER really know what it is unless you send her body in for a necropsy.
Sometimes it is something as simple as dusty feed or allergies.

At this point I don't know if there's any point in separating her. She's been with the rest of the flock while she's been sick, and therefore has exposed the others on a continual basis. CRD (chronic respiratory disease) is very contagious, but manageable. I had it run through my flock when my neighbors chickens wandered through the woods and onto our property. It spread through my coop and both sets of brooding chicks before I realized what was going on. I refused to cull my whole flock, so now it's being managed. Whenever I see someone showing a hint of a symptom I separate and treat with Tylan. The only casualties were a couple of chicks that had weak immune systems, the other 14 have not had a flare up at all.

Everyone has already been exposed to whatever it is and it may not be contagious in any case (there is a chance she could have injured her eye). No need to kill her at this point when what she has may be perfectly treatable. If it were found out that your flock has an illness for which they would be carriers after treatment, I wouldn't send any off to join other flocks. I hope that this helps support you.

I have an EE with one bubbly eye, so I've been following your thread. She is isolated and on Tylan. It's recommended to administer for 3-5 days, yes? I've decided to keep a closed flock, at this point. Not worth the hassle of bringing in other birds. I guess my flock just has these resp. issues for life now. I had a sneezy silkie a few months ago... also treated with Tylan.

Sorry for taking so long to reply back to this thread. The hen i was talking about, i ended up culling her.
This morning i found one of my blue cochins has the eye problem now. I knew yall said it was contagious but i had no idea i would already have an infected bird this soon.
I seriously thinking about culling my entire flock.
Even after i cull my whole flock, what will i do? Will i have to clean my good really good and move it to some different grass?
What are all the precautions i need to take to keep everything clean if i decide to cull all of them.
I really hate to cull them because i have such pretty chickens....
I just got my silver laced wyandotte, and 3 cochins and have fallen in love with them. Now i am heartbroken...

Mass culling sounds so extreme. Personally, I would get a dx first. If you don't have a avian vet in the area, call your state vet"s office and see if they will do some testing for you. Usually, it is free. Then if the results are bad you can take the necessary action. Oxine used as a fogger is great stuff. Recently I have been reading excellent things about Denagard also.
