What is wrong with my roller pigeon? Plz help

Every time I fly her she always rolls and falls to the ground and I'm scared she will hurt herself.

I am not saying it is but it could be something as simple as the genetics that particular bird was dealt. Parlour rollers came from somewhere and they are flightless.

I've seen and heard of the parlor rollers before and the man I bought them from has purebred birds he had over 50 different breeds of pigeons

I am sure its genetic if she seem healthy in all other ways.

I have a roller that turned up as a stray at my loft of white doves. She was black and very cute!

She used to fly with my birds around the house, and she would suddenly start rolling and drop out of the sky. Sometimes falling hard onto the house roof, or onto the ground with a thumb!!!!

Sometimes she would fall down into the wasteland at the back of my house and it would take her a long time to herself back up through the thick scrub and bushes and come home.

I stopped letting her free fly after one time she injured her legs badly and could hardly walk.

I don't think people should breed birds like that!

Roller pigeons that roll from sky to ground are call "Rolldown." I fly and raise roller pigeons and I usually don't keep rolldown because they can't control their rolling ability and they will always hurt themself or even kill themself. They will eventually kill themself if you continue to fly that roller pigeon. If you really like it, you can continue and use her as a breeder, but she will pass it on to her children. I recommend not to continue it as it will only hurt you more.

I see that you stated you raise rollers? I know this post is old but maybe you could also help me. I bought rollers off this dog hunting person. I have had homers but i’m not experienced in pigeons too well only got into pigeons because I found a baby on the road and became its mama. Anyway. My rollers had babies. (2) one baby is fine they are about 4-5 weeks old. The other stands not relaxed at all. It’s hind side is up his neck is shrunk in and his head tilts back he shakes and it tilts again this is over and over. Tile stuck in an endless roll. Is there something I can do?
