It could be anti social behavior (which is what some serial killers are- not all anti social people are serial killers though.) Killing and torturing small animals is a sign of this sometimes. But if there was more then one person I doubt they were all anti social. If there was more then one person then best guess is lots of alcohol involved. Mob mentality, they were drunk someone said something and it led to that. Either adults or kids. Same type of people who go hunting for the fun of it and will shoot the animal just for the sport and leave it there. It is so sick, and the sad part is they most likely wont get jail time. But the whole community which seems to be sickened by what happened will know who they are. If I was them I wouldn't want to be in that town. Have fun doing your shopping!! If the pasture is right next to an ATV path the neighbors must be used to hearing the ATVs all the time. They probably feel bad enough about not doing anything but its not fair to blame them for not doing anything if its something that they are used to hearing. I hope they are caught, even if they don't get lots of jail time (which they deserve so much more...), I just want to see them have to deal with that community!!
