@Miss Lydia When we rescued him three years ago, he had fishing line wrapped around his leg. The fishing line was cutting into his leg almost down to the bone. We rehabilitated him but now his leg is permanently damaged but he can still walk.

Oh my gosh. I didn't even thing to ask about his leg. That was dumb. Did you find him in a local pond/lake?
