What is Your Favorite Christmas Dish? (PARTY!)

Pics
I use a large spring form pan for the baking, just a simple round, and then I decorate it on top with extra dough.
I actually have cookie cutters of a reindeer (elk), bird (duck), pig and rabbit which is about what goes into it so I put four slits in the top and then alternate those with the cutouts. Then I use the rest of the dough to do other pretty things.
I don't have pictures from last year. We ate it too fast!!! Yule is VERY chaotic for us as we have about 30 people total in our house for dinner on that day. I'll try hard to get pictures this year!
Thanks for the descriptive. I thought, after I posted, asking for a pic was silly - who has time AND who wants to wait to dig in!!

Last two cookie varieties done!!! Lemon Linzers and Butterscotch. The butterscotch look rather boring, but they are not. They are bursting with flavor and smell heavenly! So, boring or not, I always include them.

I sure hope you are relaxing, with your feet up after all your baking. Those butterscotch cookies look especially tasty & sure those lemon linzers are fabulous too. You have just wowed me with the vast number you have made & the wonderful variety too!! Bet you've got the best smelling house & your neighbors are drooling!

Thanks! I’m doing exactly that! Sitting in a comfy chair with a pillow under my legs.

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is ice cream cake after dinner (WAY after dinner, when we can move again lol). We're all usually still completely stuffed but every year we celebrate Christmas, then my cousin's birthday which is on Christmas day lol. Dinner is almost always at my parent's house with all my aunts, uncles, cousins and now my cousin's kids as everyone is getting older :) Everyone gets together for a meeting before Christmas to decide what everyone will be bringing and we have quite the feast!

Gosh darn it! I get sick in bed for two days and this thread takes a life of its own! Now that I'm up and semi-about, I have lots of reading material to pass the day away!
Ahh...so sorry you have been sick. :hugs We really didn't mean to have fun without you!
