What is your feeding Schedule

I make sure the feeders are kept full or nearly full.
When I go to let the chooks out in the morning, I toss their morning treat on the ground and open the door. They gobble the treat up and then head for our kitchen window to check for japanese beetles that have stopped/died there overnight.
While they're busy feeding their faces, I go in the coop and note the level of food and water while I collect eggs.
If something needs filling immediately I do it. Otherwise I top the feeders off and clean and refill their waterers in the evening.

My work schedule is somewhat odd, so I am going to bed when most people are getting up. My birds always have food, and I get them fresh water and grass/clover around 1pm. If I'm home, then they get let out to play at 1, and I lock them in after dark. If it's a work day, they stay in their runs.

Thanks gays for all your resposes to these question.

Again I find it amazing the deferent coop designs and the deferent feeding schedule around the world.

Full feeders at 24/7 is probably a practice of a developed country.
Most of the world that raises small flocks fore home consumption probably feeds once or twice per day with lots of free ranging. I know my grandpa in central America gives the chickens food when and if he has any available, once per day. And I don't think I've ever seen him buy *feed*. I don't think such a thing exists for non-commercial applications in third world countries.
The chickens are supposed to feed him, not the other way around. LoL.
He still gets so many eggs, and his chickens are nice and juicy, because they are self-sufficient, but the key is to free-range.

We top the feeders off on the weekends. I built the 5 gallon bucket feeders that were shown on here last year. Other than that we sometimes throw some scratch or oats out for treats. yesterday we accidentally dropped a grape and the chickens played chase with it so they got grapes because it was so much fun watching them run after them.

If chickens are free range it's not that important to have feed available 24/7. If not i think they do. Chickens eat, drink, poop and hopefully lay us some eggs. They don't eat on a time frame, they eat constantly. Vadgo is right, they have lived free range for years but now we put them in coops and runs and they don't have access to foraging, thus we supply feed. Good Luck

We keep out feeders full and water changed daily. THE GIRLS think any time they see me it's "TIME" to eat. So being the way I am I give them things several times a day. We even let them out for the first time the other day and here is where they headed. My/THEIR veggie garden...
