What is your most clever coop/run idea?

It sounds weird but that bottom pic? If you stand back and to the side a little (maybe 10 or 12 feet away) it looks like a baby pig instead of 2 chickens. My son was on the couch when I was looking at this thread and he looked over and said oh a baby pig? and I said no, 2 chickens. He said it looks like a pig from here and I thought 'no way'. I went to where he was and he was right-it looked just like a black & white baby pig!

Attach your roosts to the wall with hinges, I can raise and hook the far/ lower end of the roost up to the rafters while cleaning coop or catching birds. Makes it much easier.

I made a secure porch with a drop-down front gate that opened to the run for my ducks. On hot summer days my drake use to love lounging on his front porch. On days I wouldn't be home to watch them, or put them to bed I'd lock up their porch so they'd have fresh air and a little more room to walk around without the threat of loosing them to predation.

Clever and coop don't go hand in hand in my world. My husband 'accidentally' locked me in for 5 hours one day. I love my coop, but I still have nightmares about my stint doing time with 13 chickens as cell-mates. FYI, chickens NEVER completely shut up.

It hasnt been built yet, but I'm leaning towards making a drawbridge for the chicken door with a lockable winch that is operated from the outside. The "rungs" will fit into a series of 1x1x1 blocks screwed to the wall, so when its up it will all fold together with no gaps for critters to squeeze through.

Also, I dunno how well this will work yet, but I've got double dutch doors. In theory, I'm thinking it will be easier to clean if I can open 95% of the back wall. The dutch doors are mostly for whichever neighborhood kid I can get to look after my chickens if I go out of town. They wont have to open the whole door to fill the food and water bins.

Hi guys, I got something I think is cool. I made a gillotine door that is attached to an arm inside the coop that goes to a handle that goes through the wall. I can easily open and close the door from just inside the run door. what ya think?
