What Is Your Pet’s Name and What WERE They Going To Be Named!?

Anyone have any other animals!?
oh yes, lol.

This is Giz (Gizabelle) with her bestie Bowski. Baby raccoons really do sound like Mogwai (Yeah, really dating myself with some of these movie references ), so her name was inspired by Gizmo from Gremlins but she needed a more feminine version. She has congenital mobility issues and has been a happy house/lap toon for over 12 years now.
I used her name as my user name with a bit of irony. While most all raccoons mentioned on this site are pests, the only chicken she's ever had a taste for has come from Publix.
Her super power is napping with her buddies.

This is Sunny. I don't think we ever even considered another name; it just fit her perfectly. She is and has always been a bright little ray of sunshine. She loves all people and could very well make a wonderful therapy dog one day if I can find the time. She is my second shadow and I'd be lost without her. Her full name is Sunny Honey Bunny Foo-Foo-the-Snoo.
She had a nasty injury last weekend that resulted in emergency surgery, but as you can see, she's still smiling. She's a trooper.

Here we have Otis. He was named for Otis Redding, but he was very nearly named Bruce after a bear in one of my son's favorite books. His full name is Otis Marshmallow Faust. 10/10 goodest boy.

And this is the baby, Eddie. My husband found him in the road as a tiny kitten a little over a year ago. My husband was driving home from working on a job for a relative the day he found him. In this relative's family, they name pets after loved ones who have passed, so we named him Eddie for her late husband.
His full name is Eddie "The Snake" Trejo Money Munster.
I love him dearly... he is also by far the naughtiest little creature to have ever tested my patience... and that's coming from someone who's had a raccoon in the house for over a decade.

We also have two pigs and our one remaining chicken, but this post has gone plenty long already.

The Newfie dog I rescued showed up with the name Chipper Jones, and since we are Cardinals fans I couldn’t keep that name. So we named him Deacon and he was the best boy! Didn’t want his name to be sports related, and I got him around the time that show Nashville came out, really liked the name Deacon.
That’s awesome!!!!

oh yes, lol.

You have an awesome family!!!! 💞. Love it!!!

My late Australian Shepherd was Eliza and I renamed her Delilah after the song by the Plain White T"s "Hey There Delilah".

My Catahoula Leopard dog was originally Hunter and I renamed her Persephone.

Cat was originally named Heidi but we changed it to Biscuit.

Cat was originally Katrina but renamed Seraphina.

Our other 2 kitties were Taxi and Phoebe. Did not rename.
