What kind of bird is this? Bantam of some sort?

I've never seen a chick like this one-but I'm sure some of you guys have..

A buyer got it as a "free rare/ exotic" in an order from McMurray, but did not want it.

Does it have a single comb. If so not a Cochin.

Cochins do have single combs.

I think it may be a Dark Brahma. (It sure looks stripey though!)

You should go on Murrywhatever hatchery site and look at their list of rare/exotic breed. Post the list and let use try to figure it out. Then it will be more narrowed down.

Hi. check out my post about my Silkie and the friend that came with her. Just posted a earlier today. My pullet looks a lot like yours and came to the previous owner under the same situation as an "extra" maybe a similar breed. Mines a sweetheart, hope you have the same luck.

I did go to their website and could not find a chick that looked like her. The man that got her said she was all lighter brown as a hatchling. She is still very brown, lots of barring as you can see. The only breeds I thought may be her do not have leg/foot feathering as she does..

Thanks for the input, when I have looked p the breeds mentioned, they don't quite look like her.. Any more guesses?

Could it be a cuckoo marans? I'm really not familiar with that breed, but the pattern and feathered feet are right. Do McMurray's marans have feathered feet or are they clean legged?
