Thanks nightshade. Curs aren't too common around here either. My husband drove 400 miles to get his, and he's now on the lookout for a female. I just love hounds, they are so sweet and loyal, and I love how they will put you in your place if you try giving them orders! All our dogs are droopy eared LOL

Can't go wrong with a Lab! Friendly, good guard dogs while not being aggressive, good with other animals, good with kids. I have two, one a rescued sweety and another Lab/BC mix that was free to a good home. Love them both. The mix is only a year old but is smart as a tack, rarely barks, eats anything (and I mean anything), is a great hunter. I think the BC in him is a little more hyper than Labs though. We are bringing home some chickens tomorrow...his first. This oughta be interestin'! The other Lab is good with all other animals and keeps crows out of the corn. Can it get any better than that?

I have 2 German Shephards, 1 Australian Shephard, 1 Collie, 1 Chow/German Shephard/Golden Retriever mix, and 1 German Shephard mix with maybe a little bit of Pit Bull in her. Her name is Jordin and she's my favorite. I love my girl!
