Oh, Kim!!!
Thank you so much for posting the photos for me!!!!! I was away most if the day and just returned to find this really nice surprise!!!! I 'll definitely get the hang of it!!!! I'll answer your email......probably tomorrow. Thanks!!!'
These are just some of my many ducks. The duckling pics are (mostly) Anconas......so are the 1st and 3rd pics. Pic #1 has a black/white purebred Ancona and a brown/white Ancona hybrid. As you can see I also have some Muscovies and Cayugaand Runner hybrids. I love them all!!
Have a great night everyone!!!

I got them now, they're khaki campbells and something else (I forget what)

Hello toadbriar!!!!
I'm so glad I found this thread again!!! Due to a computer glitch, I lost a lot of my email addresses I had saved....including yours. Congrats on your 3 Ancona babies!!!! And I wish you the very best with the hatch due on 5/28!!!!
I'm also hatching Anconas.....and many other breeds, both ducklings and chicks.

Kathy thank you! I am having such fun with this bunch. Here they are yesterday:

They all three seem to be getting hoarse voices

I think today is Day 18. I noticed yesterday they are getting these ridiculous feather developments just on their bellies and breasts, with Wolverine-style swept-back bits under their wings. Like they're growing belly-rafts

And the tail feathers are all straggly and ridiculous. Is that how old feathers get pushed out by new ones?

Fingers Xed for the May 28 batch and thank you! They'll be from a blue & black flock, we'll see what we get!

Hello Kim!!!!
Ohhhh........they're totally ADORABLE!!!!! Great pic!!! BTW, I FINALLY learned how to post pics on these forums(about time...huh?!?). You'll find that ducklings ,in general, are curious, happy-go-lucky......and just loads of fun!!!!! Mine are usually real clowns . I believe you'll greatly enjoy raising them.
I just had 3 new Anconas born today......there are hopefully 2 more yet to join them. Will have to get some pics to post. This batch is from Laurie Marx here on BYC......so far they appear to be Black/White.....but they're still not quite fluffed out yet. I have another batch of Ancona eggs from Dennis Flom......more quality stock.......they'll be due on June 2nd. Adding new blood to my flock. I really LOVE Anconas!!!
Will speak to you again real soon!!!! And, yea....their feathers can look rather odd and scraggly at times as they're growing in!!! All part of "Growing Up Duckling"!!!!!
Happy Hatching, Kim!!!!!
Kathy
