I found this single egg inside a fairly large chicken coop with no other types of birds inside. it is a enclosed coop, so the only kinds of birds EVER inside are miscellaneous breeds of chickens and black birds that are able to fly in. They look like the kind of birds that hang out in like walmart parking lots (or thats what I THINK they look like anyways).

The black birds are fairly small. Small enough to fly in and out of the chicken wire/fencing that was used to build the coop. The spacing of the wire/fencing is small enough that a 1-2 month old chicken can't get out, but little random black birds CAN fly in.

I don't know the ID or name of what kind of birds the black ones are but here's some pictures of the egg and hopefully one of you lovely people can help me identify what it is.

I'll attach several pictures.

Thanks so much!

It's an egg from one of your hens known as a fairy egg. :) Not a reason for health concerns, just a glitch in the laying process.

The birds in your coop might be Starlings. Hopefully they don't pass any diseases along to your chickens.

Do the birds look like this?

They're always in the run!
Yea. Along with the little sparrow like birds that are mostly brown with white stripea and bellies then patches black on their face or some dont have black. I kept getting black birds in the run i fixed that quick.

Chicken wire. And then tin overtop. They are to big to get in. Then i noticed a hawk circling around a few months ago he was gone quick though.
That's good! I have a family of hawks who live nearby. I've not seen them around for a while now though. Have you ever had a problem with crows harassing your chickens?
