What kind of feed should I use?

We have six hens of all different breeds that just turned 18 weeks. From what I’ve read, three of them could lay any time now but the other three could be up to another four months. Is it ok to give all of them layer feed when the first one starts laying even though the others might not lay for a while yet?

It wouldn't be the end of the world but keeping them on starter/grower or an all flock with oyster shell on the side (free choice) would be the better option.
