What makes BYC so FUN? Why do I LOVE this site?

MySpace and Facebook has nothing on BYC. I hardly ever go anywhere but here. I get up in the morning and check my email then here I am. At least until my meds take effect, then i'm off to feed and water and do what needs to be done that day. When I take a break I come back.

I have learned tons of things from here. I've had chickens many times in the past but I am now disabled and needed a hobby to keep from going crazy. I was able to find the birds I have been wanting even before I got back into chickens. DH is into it also but it's mostly me. If I can't feed or do what needs to be done he does it for me. He builds everything that I need for them too.

I thank each and every one of you for all your help and support. I couldn't do it without you.

, it's a challenge when you can't always get around. I have a bum hip, and sometimes DH has to help- and he's pretty cool about it!

The only BYC member I have met is Bec, and it was a great experience!

I love being here. But, I also love being on Facebook, I confess. Here, I get to talk chicken, which makes me sooo happy! Facebook is more of a place for me to stay in touch with people whom I met in person, but now are too far away to see much. I wish I could meet my BYC friends. I have never had a chance to do that. Biosecurity makes this a much more difficult issue than it seems at first glance. Still, I take many chances, like going to the feed store. So, meeting a chicken friend for a hike or a cup of coffee shouldn't jeopardize my girls more than getting their feed does. Hmm, maybe I need to be more careful when going to the feed store...

I, too, adore BYC! My husband always knows where I am! LOL

If I'm not in with the chickens, ducks, goose, I'm on BYC!

I've been mighty partial to all of ya'll until this thread. I only stated that you won't catch me sitting around in dirty drawers, at least not for a couple more years. Now some of you are wanting to throw stuff or beat me. I guess I'll going to have to go commando rather than wear shot shorts.
