Here is my senior black buck who has 3 BOBs

And here is my hopefully bred tort doe

Not the best pics my two seniors are molting right now so their manes aren't as big as they usually are

Misschickenlittle, their ears are wayyy long for Lionheads, as are their faces. If you showed them to me and simply asked, "what are they?" I would probably say, "cute little mixed breeds, possibly part Mini Rex (though clearly not Rex-coated). If I look really closely, the fur on the top of the broken chestnut's head looks a smidgen longer and fuzzier than is normal - so she may actually have a (single) mane coming in. Can't really say about the buck, since he's so out of focus (I know, taking pics of animals is worse than taking pics of kids!!) The shape of their heads are wrong; offhand, I would say they are Lionhead mixes. If you could hear me, I'd say, "they are *sigh* 'Lionheads,'" with the tone of my voice indicating something boring and common and nothing to get excited about at all. They may actually wind up having something in the way of manes after all, but as was pointed out, there is more to a Lionhead than just a mane.

I was told they were lionheads...
I asked what I would get if I took the buck to the angora and she said... Lionheads! Ugh!!!

I guess they will just be pets and not breeding rabbits. :/
going to have to call vet I guess to see if they can be fixed... At least the boy.

Thanks all! I should have done more research before buying but I was so excited! Live and learn... ;)

photos of the large litter. one passed, so now there are ten. however, the one that passed was clearly fed and well - - it was fat. it was at the bottom of the pile, so maybe it got squashed? From what I can tell, the doe is doing a great job so far. Hope it continues.

just took the photos and wanted to share.

silver foxes are whitmore farms stock. parents have excellent silvering and are of good size. i am curious to see how these turn out.

I have two NZW does, one NZW buck, one NZW doe growing to be our next breeder, and a standard Rex doe. :3 I have had them for some time now and so far so good, but the Rex has been the real success. She comes from great lines, huge litters, and when crossed back to my NZW buck they're fast growing kits with soft pile fur and three beautiful colors.... They ended up being the best homestead rabbits I could think of!
