(Guess that's what I get for having my husband check her nest lately!)
There were 9 total, but 2 were very small and dead. The 7 left are much bigger & wiggling around.
Fortunately my doe is very tame & handled a lot.
I have an empty hutch, but it's supposed to get cold tonight with all the rain, so I have her & her babies in a large dog crate in my bathroom.
Put down fresh hay, but moved the live babies with her fur.
Mom got a little wet from the rain so dried her off real well & put her with the babies.
Lots of fresh water, feed, & sliced up an pple- her favorite.
She doesn't seem to mind being moved, or me handling her babies. She ate the apples out of my hands. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. Definitely need to separate the pen.
