This would be the minimum size you should have. The bigger, the better!

Hello,

Just found this post. I am getting a bunny on Monday:) I am a 42 year old woman who wants a bunny. It is a little siamese mini satin. He is 9 weeks old. I feel like a little kid at Christmas:)

I plan on keeping him as an inside pet. Can any of you guys recommend a good cage for indoor and the pros and cons of indoor rabbits.

Thanks so much

Alice

Siammese mini satins are beautiful! Rabbits are pretty clean animals, so an indoor cage won't stink up your house that much, however mine are all outdoors. The rabbit will be cleaner of it is kept on wire, but should have a tile or something smooth in the cage so it can take a break from the wire. Have fun with your rabbit!

Here are my rabbits!

All three lop girls: Flopsy, Mopsy, and Miss Muddles

Flopsy and Miss Muddles

Mopsy

Miss Muddles

New Zealand White kits (About 15)

Lionhead Lop Buck (Needs a name, any ideas?)

We also have 2 Adult New Zealands (Martha and George Wilson), but they won't let me take any good pictures!

Aww. Cuties! One of your NZ's had a litter of 15? Wow! I have a NZ white doe and we were planning on breeding her to a red NZ, so she can have babies for our county fair. My NZ is running around my living room, playing with her favorite toy, a tissue box. Cute Lionhead Lop! As for names, I have no idea. I usually pick names for my rabbits based on their personality, or color. I don't know your rabbit's personality, so I can't think of a name. Tell me what you pick though! Here are my rabbits' names. If you really like one, feel free to use it. Scribbles- Mini Rex Cosmo- Holland Lop Spirit- New Zealand Taboo- Polish Razzle- English Spot Fiji- American Fuzzy Lop Good luck with them! They are cute!:)

Thanks for the pictures and link to the cage. All the pictures are gorgeous. They are just so sweet and huggable:)
We are really looking forward to adding this new little guy to our family. Should be fun. We hope to be able to keep him indoors full time. We thought we might get a hutch for outside so he can get some sunshine and fresh air.

Thanks again.

Congrats on your new bunny grasspack! My bunny she is indoors so I use an extra long cage with the drop thru bottom so that you can pull out the tray and clean it. I like this best if you plan to potty train. Get a small kitten sized litter box...they have them at Petco. They just aren't as tall and will fit even a medium sized bunny. Put pine or cedar shavings in it in a corner of the cage and they will use it. Keeps the cage MUCH cleaner and doesn't "smell". If you can....get a girl bunny...boy bunnies will spray urine and it gets everywhere. Here is a pic of my adopted bunny Little Lolita...she is a 5 yr old lionhead. She isn't evil...the camera gave her red eyes lol. She is actually the sweetest bunny ever...we carry her around lol.

Lionheads are SWEETIES!!! My son got one from the Easter Bunny about 3 years ago we adopted him and his name is BunBun he is actually the one who got me back into breeding and taking care of bunnies!!! So I know exactly what you mean when you say she's not evil it's the cam lol
