If the RIR is of hatchery stock and not show quality I can almost garuntee you will not find a home for him unless you give him away their are just to many roo's in the world.

My extra Roo's under a year old go to the freezer, no worries, try it. if that is not an option $ 5-7.00 is probably top's.

Well, around here roo's sell for about $5, never more than $10 that I've seen...

He's from Ideal hatchery no special bloodlines. I thought that maybe because he was big he'd be worth more. I just rehomed a rooster last week, and wasn't planning on getting rid of him, but he's pulled the last straw. (Or should I say feather) I know I guy that will trade me some chicks, so maybe that would be a better deal. He's very pretty though, the pic doesn't do him justice.

OH, lol. i wasn't offended. i was just talking sorry if i came off that way. and yeah. there are RIRs out there that are worth 50-100+ dollars.. their just very rare as RIRs are rarely used for show chickens
