Yes you realy dont want to give them potato peels as the green skins are toxic to them... My birds wont touch them anyways so I have no worries ... I havent seen any that really like them

I gave my girls cantaloupe seeds/innards. Did they run to eat it? No. They turned in unison and gave me the stink-eye. Eventually they ate it all, but not before letting me know that I had better clear new food items with them first.

My chickens got Lettuce (they love it), Tomato (they love it even more), necturine, and Plain Yogurt (they will do anything for)!!

Their favorite snack is fern. Our woods are carpeted with it. My 14 wk pullets will eat that more than their feed.

Today they got tomatoes, basil and roasted red pepper innards. They seemed to like it all.

mine got the half - rotted watermelons from the garden. They clean them to a slick rind! They also get a couple of pulled up tomato plants daily ( my tomatoes didn't have a good year

Well, since it is over 90 degrees outside right now, our entire flock gets frozen bottles of water put into their waterers so they have cool water to drink!

Japanese beetles. A whole trap full of them. It was a feeding frenzy!

My outside ladies and gents got the watermelon and cantaloupe that I had cut into "baskets"for yesterday's cookout. The momma and chicks inside in the brooder got blueberries. Altho, momma really did not share..she grabbed each blueberry before the chicks had a chance,lol!! After the outside birds finished the melons, I put ice cubes in the shells and into their waterers (3x today).
