What Special Treat or Yummy Did Your Flock Get Today?

I grew my own veggies years ago, but the woodchucks always cleared me out. I gave up on that and stick to only herbs and tomatoes now.

So today, I stopped by my town's farmer's market and asked one of the girls for the largest cucumbers they had. She dug around and found two gi-normous specimens. She looked at me like I was nuts - nobody wants the big ones! I sheepishly admitted that they were for my chickens.

I did not give it to them but they really enjoyed playing keep away with it. I was in the back I see one of my girls with something in her beak. All of a sudden everybody is chasing her. I`m like what the heck is that. It was a peeper! They just torn that thing up.

I gave my girls and boys some corn on the cob, watermelon, tomatos, italian bread, and some yogurt.

Mine just got some pea pods, rat's tail radishes and canteloupe. They are in chicken treat heaven right now- or at least they think so!

Chunks of watermelon and corn on the cob yesterday. Today more of the same, but with lettuce and some leftover tomatoes, and maybe some BOSS.

I just gave mine a few tomatoes as well as some lettuce. Right now their in the middle of a feeding frenzy

I gave the girls the last bit of snap pea vines...with several pea pods left on them. YUMMMMM...
