You can whistle like a whip o will and they will return the call. They have a distinctive call that is easy to imitate.

They can sound slightly different depending on where in the US they are located. I Love that noise!

That's why I didn't get guineas... well, the noise and the penchant for roaming. Besides, the guinea that I like most is the Vulterine... and I am NOT shelling out that kind of money for one! Hopefully, my bantams won't end up being too loud.

It's good to know it isn't something bigger!!
But it gets a bit annoying. He/she sits in trees right out from the house on all end and whistles and it echoes like crazy! Make it sound so much bigger then it is lol​
