What to do about broodies?

I've had broodies before, and, honestly, I love it! Problem is my egg production is dropping. I have one Australorp I'm trying to break of being broody and now I have an EE and at least two other Australorps going broody. How do I break so many hens and prevent others from catching on?!

Many people use wire dog crates as broody breakers. If you can raise it up off the ground so the air will flow beneath it, it seems to work better. I keep my broody ladies in "jail" for 3 days at a time. Good luck!

If the breaker(s) is big enough, and the broodies aren't too temperamental, you can put 2 per breaker, which may help when you have multiple broodies needing to be broken.

Geez, what a PITA, eh?
At one point I had 3 crates set up last summer, luckily have space to set them up.
Not sure what to suggest...let one hatch(for future egg layers), give one or two away....and keep on breaking?
