ahahaha i went to go pick up my little Blue cochin roo with a little welsummer pullet yesterday. and to my surprise the original Roo chick i wanted (Splash cochin) was there because the person who had wanted him first jst disappeared never called back nore wanted him and he had been a special order!! I was so ecstatic but then and just then the boy decided to have a opinion on wat we were getting. he wanted to the blue one so i said fine! and had the Lady i got them from sneak the little splash in the box as well! he noticed this morning and tried to get all sorts of mad at me. I did my pout and came up with some reasoning behind it! reason #1- if one roo turns mean we have a fallback! #2- if they are both nice then we have 2 roos to fight off the foxes and 2 stands better chances than one! and #3- I wanted it so I got it. he doesnt like it fine he can sleep by himself in the spare bedroom for a week. he hasn't mentioned the little left behind roo since
Don't get me wrong I love him very much. but the boy doesnt have ALL the say in the world. We are on 16 acres with a coop big enough for 10 chickens! (we now have 9) so i don't see what the fuss is about.
