You asked for a recommendation for a heated waterer. I use the Premier1 heated poultry waterer. It's closed, so little humidity is released.

Thanks for updating us and I’m so glad they’re coming through the snap okay!Well, the cold snap is almost over and my girls are still alive. Temps in the coop got down to 2F with humidity at 51%. Despite external humidity being much higher. I feel good about that.
I’ve been leaving for work before light, and coming home after dark, so I haven’t been able to fully assess the situation for problems like frostbite This weekend I should be able to give them the attention they deserve.
My spouse has been opening and closing the pop door, but not much else. I’ve collected their eggs at night, one of which exploded in my hand due to expansion from the cold. That was interesting.
I have also been offering them some scrambled eggs from the “bad egg” pile of eggs that have been laid on the poop board. They haven’t shown much interest in it, but I’ve made sure food and water is always available in the run. The water in the coop got filled with bedding and then froze solid. My spouse who stays at home does not switch it out during the day, so the only time they’ve had water in the coop, has been when I put it out in the morning. However I’ve been told the chickens spent their days out in the run, so I can only assume they’ve been drinking the water out there.
