What to do with the.... remains.

This is really precious to my heart for some reason... bahaha

Thank you all for your "take" on the subject. I think I'm just gonna stick with burying... Although I guess how I'm going to get the "remains" to the hole is a different story...

Depends on the predator. If it is something I need to trap then the body is bait. If it is a dog or hawk kill or just a death, it is wrapped in a big garbage bag and deposited in the trash barrel. I used to bury them but it is not worth the time to did a hole that deep in the boulder mixed dirt around here and something would dig them up.

I put the remains(raccoon, opussom, chicken) on the crow feeding platform, they do a pretty good job..In return they chase the local redtail hawks away...

If we process them, we feed the "remains" to the dogs.

This summer when we had horrible predetor problems, we burned the carcasses. We didn't want to have anythign come back and dig them up.

My Father used to do that. He had a buzzard board elevated which he threw all his fish cleanings and household scraps on. The platform was on a hillside facing a lake, the buzzards would cruise around waiting for him to toss out the stuff.

Compost bin with a little lime thrown on top to combat the stench. If the compost bin is full, then in the stack of tires that are my secondary compost bin.
