What to Feed a Chicken Who Won't Eat???

Well, I found out what she will eat. Watermelon rinds. It isn't good protein or anything, but it's food, and that's what she needs right now.

She's doing better, has slowed down now that it's hot outside, but followed me around - slowly - this morning. I found some stuff that is close to what @RhodeIslandRed5 posted a picture of and put it in her water. Her breathing is definitely better. I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but I compared her abdomen to a hen of similar age. It was only a tiny bit "squishier" than the other hen.
When is the last time she laid an egg?

My chicken (Nightshade) is a Belgium Du'ccle and she got sick a couple of days ago. She cannot move her legs so I have her in a wheelchair. She is not eating and her crop is empty. But she is drinking. Help Nightshade! Please note: we do not know why she is sick. And she is an antibiotics. Please help Nightshade 😥🐔🐔

Here's how to feed a chicken that wont eat.

Yogurt with a bit of honey works well in a syringe as does pureed cat food, fine scrambled egg and anything else you can get into a runny paste.
The green poop does not sound good. If she's parasite free, not egg bound, no crop problems then it's possibly a reproductive issue and there isn't much you can do apart from keep her comfortable and make her end quick and painless.
Won't the chicken have a hard time digesting the milk form the yogurt?

@Greta the chicken lover Welcome To BYC

This thread is from 2019, it would be better if you start your own thread.

Describe symptoms, age, how long your hen has been sick, what she normally eats including treats and treatments you are administering including medications and dosing.

Photos of the hen, her poop and legs may be helpful as well, along with you telling us where you are located in the world, not your address, but if you are in a state in the U.S. or if you live in another country.

Thank you.
