No dear, there isn't any -istan countries or regions in Africa. The closest -istan region to Africa is Kurdistan which is close to Egypt but not too close.

I hope at least one egg hatches out in the end Today is day 12 and until now I haven't candled the eggs and have no intention to do it either. I will keep you updated.

The bad news is that my broody was sitting on 7 eggs. On Thursday, I checked the eggs when she came out for food, I found only 5 eggs (one is broken - 4 eggs remained). I don't know where the two eggs went. I didn't see even the eggshells. What do you think? Do you think she ate them up?
The good news is that I candled the four eggs; I saw blood vessels in three and the other one was unclear (neither had blood vessels nor the blood ring- it was dark and had the air sac) so I put the four back in the nest.
And my other pullet is also broody
