What treat did your chickies get today?

I was not a very generous mom today. All the girls got were the tops off of the radishes. I gave all the other salad trimmings to the rascally rabbit that lives in my sewing room.

Greek yogurt, peas and scratch w/ boss mixed in. The reds heads were white when they got done with the yogurt

The solids from apple and carrot juicing - they weren't so crazy about the carrot mash, but the apple scraps went down fast!

today they got to play in sand. The chicks that were trying to sand bath would get stepped on; but they got revenge by kicking up the sand at their rude flock mates.
The chicks really get a kick out of the sand.

I wanted to get them some meal worms but the pet stores around me did not have any at this time.

Several of mine are in molt, so they're only getting high protein treats these days.... sunflower seeds, scrambled eggs, tuna, meat scraps...

Mine got hot porridge oats made with greek yogurt and some left over rice!!!!

Tomorrow they are for hot tomato soup and home made bread

Spoiled or what!!!!!!!

They have NOT laid me an egg in weeks as they all seem to be either thran or on the molt!!!! I would give them scrambled egg for protein BUT THERE ISN:T ANY!!!! THey are getting Prawn shells and warm tuna later in the week!!!!

Cut catelope in quarters took out the seeds, divided the seeds in their dishes and laid the catelope quarters on the ground. This gives everyone something to choose from. MMMMMmmmm. Of course my DH freaked out thought the catelope was for him, yeah right.

The older three week old chicks were chicken to try them but finially got brave and decided these squirmy things were really great tasting. So I intend to give them some every day from now on. I figgure that will get all the chicks to really like me
