What treat did your chickies get today?

I got up early so I could make my girls oatmeal. They loved it!

Cut up apples. Greedy things. I pegged one of the meat roosters in the head with a quarter apple because he wouldn't move!

A suet cage full of kale, romaine and bean sprouts. They love it.

A cold morning so I made them oatmeal with cooked eggs in it and added some of their fermented feed to it.

My 8 hens have rewarded me for their warm breakfast with 7 eggs so far this morning!

Beef trimmings, leftover peas and carrots, watermelon rinds, and barley fodder.

I think chickens prefer stone cold food. In my experience chickens mostly ignore warm food unless it looks or moves like a mouse.
