What treat did your chickies get today?

Sprouted wheat and BOSS tomato ends a couple of apple cores I was going to give them lettuce and a cauliflower core but a deer was staring at me so I threw that for her.

Oatmeal with layer feed mixed in, with shredded cheese sprinkled on top. Possibly a new favorite! They were leaping at the dish as I was setting it down!

oatmeal with raisins and shredded carrots. They loved the shredded carrots and were chasing each other around to get the carrots.

A few days ago I made the girls a sandwich from some toasted bread ends and all natural peanut butter. I stuck it in a suet cage and strung it up, figuring it would last them the day while I was at work. I came home and the suet cage was empty and hanging open!

My clever girls probably popped it open the minute I was out of sight!

I love it.........LOLOL...............can't beat pb on toast!!! Haven't treated mine today. Suppose to turn cold again tonight so I thought I'd wait till latter on in the afternoon..

Apparently my chickens don't like carrots, I have three different feeder and only the carrots were left in all three

. Next time the deer get the carrots.

Were they cut up small or shredded? I read somewhere you should shred them....haven't tried them yet...mine always got cooked and ate first.
