Mine just destroyed about a dozen plums. Oddly enough my cochins are never as excited about treats as my RIR and Buttercups. Anyone else have this problem.

I bought some " extra sweet" corn on the cob from a farmers market, tasted like field corn, nothing goes to waste in my house so I fed it to the chickens.

My hens are onbaytril oral for 3 days to clear up a respiratory problem, I was going to scramble up the eggs & give them to the hens, firstly is that ok to do for a day or 3? Don't want to make them ill, and how long should we not eat the eggs for after? My vet said she would eat them & didn't seem at all concerned about the anti biotic? If they are cooked it should be ok?? Ahhhh

When mine were on antibiotics, the avian vet told me to discard the eggs for 10 days after they finished the course . He told me not even to feed them to my dogs.

Mine had bacon and vegetable frittata and left over fish cakes. They were jumping up in the air to snatch it from my hands. Greedy little buggers!

I let my girls run free for about 3-4 hours while I was cleaning the garden up.

They love the bugs and other stuff they find, plus the greens from the grass. They also love to roll around in the fresh dirt.



The temps are still right at the 100* mark here by afternoon, so the cool (relatively speaking) mornings are tolerable.
