What treat did your chickies get today?

A while back in the summer, a bunch of kids had a water balloon fight at my house. The chickens started gulping down the broken balloons like it was the tastiest thing ever. Chased them into their coop and had to clean it all up. Didn't hurt them any so I'm sure Styrofoam won't hurt them any.

Ours got salt free kraut made from veggie scraps (squash, oatstraw tea dredges, celery ends, parsley leaves, kale ribs) and fermented feed. They gobbled it all down, but the FF and squash was their favorite!

For a Post-Thanksgiving Day treat, the flock was feed candied yams, green beans, and Gullivers creamed corn. I don't know how much they liked it but there is no leftovers....

Then my Granddaughter and Grandson used our first dbl yolk egg, which happened to come on Thanksgiving morning, to make more Chicken Muffins...

And the Granddaughter wanted to make a couple of special Heart Muffins...

If all that wasn't enough, we took the leftover chicken grease and lard and mixed up a batch of chicken suet since winter is knocking on the door. Of course she found Grandma's cookie cutters....
