Kids are pulling weeds so into the pen they go. Can't wait until they can weed for me. Chickens are probably much more reliable.

Mine got squash, watermelon, and sunflower seeds from the garden. They are going bonkers right now!

They get table scraps daily, we give them the trimmings from all and any vegetables peeled, the love the leftovers but they have to fight the dog for em!

The hens and teenagers got 10 day old bread soaked in goat's milk to soften the bread.
I then mowed the non fertilized with chemicals lawn and caught the grass and poured it into the shade down the side of the drive. The 13, 2 month old chicks were moved from a kind of small birthing pen to a larger, better to practice flying pen. Their Mom watched them get packed up and moved and she merrily said good bye to them and went outside of the barn to take the dirt bath of her life. The babies got grass clippings and yogurt with mash mixed in as their treat. They didn't miss Mommie so much.

My Hens love crasins mixed with scratch. If i'm home I let them out and the will find worms and go NUTS!
