What treat did your chickies get today?

I tried a mashed hard boiled egg with my 3 week olds, they had no interest. They acted like they were afraid to get muck stuck on their beaks. Even after sprinkling a little dry feed on top, they carefully picked out the feed. Only after leaving them for a few hours, after their FF ran out at the end of the day, they ate maybe 10%. I've also tried chopped grapes & strawberry without luck. Is there a way to encourage them to try new things? They appear almost afraid of any new food items I add. Or maybe it's just too early?

My chicks are just over two weeks old, not three. They grow so fast, thought it must be three. Lol

I haven't tried anything cooked just raw and started with feeding by hand. I gave mealworms first then some greens then added fruit veggies and dry oatmeal.
I try a variety of things and just note what they like and don't.
What they don't lie today they might like tomorrow.
Just try different things and see what they like.
Also maybe try using the same bowl. Mine see a pie plate and come running now

I don't give sweets even fruit until they are older, you know how a sweet tooth is with kids. If they get sweets they will turn their beaks up at the veggies.

Well, I took a big bowl and added water in it, then added some ACV. Then I crushed up some tortilla chips into it, and added what was left of the salsa. Then I added some of the feed crumble and more water to it, just to make it where it was moist but not runny. They love when I put things in the wet feed like that, and it keeps them from filling up on all of the so-called treats and not eating the feed.

We had some left over cooked spaghetti. Our hens devoured it like maniacs - maybe they thought it was worms.
