What treat did your chickies get today?

Mozzarella cheese, cucumber, pear and a beetle they found

I gave them some left over mac and cheese with some ground beef in it earlier this afternoon. They ate it all up.

Anybody know if eating lizzards will hurt chickens? I walked out there awhile ago, and there was a lizzard that had somehow trapped itself in the hole of a 1/2" hardware cloth wire. I seen one of the hens pull it out and run off with it, and the other hens were chasing her trying to get it away from her. They were eating it.

They should be fine. I have seen chickens eat snakes, mice, road kill... they can eat pretty much anything:)

Thanks! Well, maybe more of these lizzards in my yard will make a trip over there, for extra chicken treats? Now if I could only figure out what to do with those gophers that keep digging all over my yard.
