What treat did your chickies get today?

Pics
my chickens won't most of the things i read on here. They won't eat cabbage, (at all), they won't eat green peppersor lettuce or onions, or potatoes, or cheese balls, lol, or tomatoes, or cucumbers, they love meat! today they had left over pork chops! and green beans!! They eat leftover chicken (i know it sounds bad) but they seem to really love the stuff. They like oatmeal and scrambled eggs. They like cereal, tortilla chips, and corn.

Annaraven, very funny

I spoiled the girls today...they got all kinds of good stuff...scrambled eggs in wild berrie smoothie drink (THEY liked it!), softened cat food, rib bones with some leftover tidbits of meat, tangerines...they're getting to where they come running to the 'treat lady' when I go out back--they're as bad as the goats!

wet or dry? We feed our cats TOTW dry food. Maybe I could soak it in something to soften it up?

I gave it to them dry, I have never thought about softening it up.

My Chickens got the "Gut pile" from my harvested Deer this year. I do this every time I get a deer, the chickens spend days chipping away at it till it's gone. They also get the bones after I've removed all the meat-----they pick those clean.

I was cold when I got up, and it looked cold out there. Since it's rare that I'm home on weekdays I decided to give then a nice warm brunch.

I took about 1 cup of leftover rice and brought it to a boil in 2 cups of water, then simmered it for 5 minutes. I stirred in 1/2 cup of oatmeal and a few raisins with 2 tsp of cayenne pepper, and simmered for 5 more minutes.

I brought it out to them still warm. They're gobbling it down like they were starving.

But why do they insist on standing in the feed pan while eating?
