Strawberries today since it's thundering and lightning outside our field trip to the great big outdoors had to be postponed for another day.

This morning, all mine had left over watermelon and some scrambled eggs. My kids just think itis so wrong to be giving the chickens eggs. LOL

My chooks got organic lettuce (the outer, dirty leaves) from the garden, plus the over ripe strawberries from the strawberry patch, plus some leftover peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread, and some raw milk.

Gave mine oatmeal for the first time yesterday.....

The oatmeal had a bit of blackberry spread mixed in it for flavor....hubby didn't like it so chicks got it....

The oatmeal sat there all day not touched til late afternoon one brave soul pecked at it once ...then again, they were hooked....

word was out at that point and it was a feeding frenzie.

They also got to forage for the first time yesterday, just cut the lawn and they had a feast on the grass, dandelion and clover clippings with an occasional bug....yummmm-e
