What treat did your chickies get today?

Expired cream cheese block rolled in chicken scratch and lots of tomato skins from canning. Very happy flock!

Some fallen plums from the tree in our front yard, and a little scoop of blueberry yogurt. I think our hens have a sweet tooth (er, beak?) - they gobble up all sorts of fruit, but have very little interest in veggies.

The chicks got Earwigs, the hens got fallen Pears, and the roosters got fallen Pears and some Ground Cherries (nightshade, not an actual cherry)

Chicken with peanut sauce and brown rice - they really went crazy for it! I tore the meat up into tiny pieces for them & they even cleaned my hands off... If chickens could lick they would have - ha ha

I harvested my kale today, and they got the stems with some of the less usable pieces attached.

Yesterday they got some left over stir fry. It had carrots, water chesnuts, chicken, string beans, brocolli, and pinapple in it.

Homemade blueberry oatmeal. They fight over the blueberries. so funny.
When they are done, their beaks are blue, such a sight.
