What trip/vacation do you really want to take? Where would you go?

That is so wonderful that you were able to thank him. People deserve to know when they have made a difference. Bless you for being the type of person to take the time to let him know what a difference he made.

Bend, Oregon
Tuscon, Arizona
Everywhere between the two, then ...

Ireland - maybe ride a bike from one end to the other
Scotland - dacjohns, your castle looks pretty awesome, well worth a visit. My family is from the border areas of Scotland so I'd really like to go and feel the vibes of long lost rellies.
Orkney Islands - a really mystical place
Wales - just because
France - for the food!
Spain - my S.O's family is from the southern part
Africa - North East Coast
South American in particular Peru, Argentina, Chile and my S.O wants to go back to Bolivia.

Just call me gypsy - or gitana, as SO would say.

If it was overseas, I would like to take a trip to Ireland.(My parents are over there for 10 days now. Lucky people!!!) Inside the USA, I want to visit the Custer Battlefield in Montana or Alaska.

If I had all the money and time imaginable, I think my first trip would be Africa starting in North Africa, I'd like to see Morocco and Algeria then on to Egypt and down the Nile. Then a side trip to Ethopia and then on to South Eastern Africa. I would love to see Kilamanjaro and elephants in the wild. I think it would be amazing to see wildebeest, zebras, and lions. I'd finish the trip with Madagascar and southern Africa. I think this would satisfy my love of nature, my interest in history and other cultures and enjoyment of music. But my real next big trip is to take my history loving son and his not so enthralled younger brother to Boston, or DC. I think either of those would be great trip for my family.

We've been to Little Bighorn. It's a very desolate place. Hope you like rattlesnakes, because there are a lot of them. I really enjoyed the Native American guide who gave their interpretation of the battle.

New Zealand has been my dream for 37 years. I have had a penpal in Auckland for 22 years, but never enough savings to justify luxury travel.

I hope every BYC dreamer gets the chance to go the places they dream of.

I had a pen pal in London from 8th grade until I was 38, then he got married and we just kind of tapered off. I used to love sitting down and writing real letters!

Well, I promised to post pics here when I got back from Halloween in Salem. Unfortunately, my computer died when I got home! Luckily, I had saved my pics onto a disc, so I did not lose those. As soon as HP sends it back to me, I will post those pics. It was a wonderful trip, well worth it!!
