What was your dinner tonight?

I love new recipe ideas and thought I'd share my newest creation tonight. I thawed out some Tilapia. Seasoned it with some Cajun seasoning. Cooked it quick on the stovetop and served it with some ranch dressing. OMG!Yummy!!! Spicy with a side of cool and creamy.

That sounds like a very delicious version. Actually, the original shepherd's pie recipe uses lamb. If you use beef, it's called something else. I can't remember what the name is but I've been in a discussion with a few Brits to know the difference now

That's very interesting. I've never heard of anyone making it with anything other than beef, except my family making it with venison since that's already in the freezer. I don't normally do 1/2 & 1/2 but had some beef that needed to be cooked and not enough to do just beef. It was quite delicious!

Either way, it's all good, imo! The recipe I have calls for lamb but I use beef. I also throw the cooked beef into a food processor along with some onions and garlic. MmmmmMMMmmm!!! I could eat that mixture alone before it's even added to the rest of the dish!
