I posted on another forum and they said that the lighter was a male Dominique because of the comb and that the other was a female barred because they have single combs....

haha. Nevermind. I looked at the lighter ones comb and I see it.

I didn't think that was one of the rare/exotic breeds. I guess that they are sticking to just giving mysteries. Did you get a female? If so enjoy the eggs.

at 1st i thought it was a barred rock but as it is growing i think it is a cuckoo marans!!!

They labeled two of the free ones, but we were missing some that stood out to use because we know the breeds. We got a few new birds and they gave us some birds in place of the missing ones. I think they thought that we would not catch it, or something.

I was curious if you checked or unchecked the box at checkout that you would accept comparable breeds if they were short? I think last time I ordered you had to specifically mark no on that question or it defaulted to yes.

I made sure that we were not getting any substitutes, when I called to confirm that months ago.

So our chicks from MMM are three weeks old (yesterday) and I still can't figure out who or what the free chick is! It blends in with all the others . . .

I got my chicks this morning form MMM, I ordered 15 and one free exotic. Had one DOA which im pretty sure was the silver laced wynadotte I ordered. Have no idea which is the free one so many look alike!

My chicks are 7 weeks old now. The free mystery chick is a white polish. I'm assuming it's a boy.
