What was your high school like?

My high school was good.....I live in a rural town class of 73 had about 200....most that live here hunt, and we lived in a time when all the guys had a knife and had guns in the gun racks in the truck AND left them unlocked. Wish we could go back to those times.

Hmm I dont quite remember and when I run into someone from school they dont seem to remeber much either. 80s thing I guess

I have very fond memories of my high school years. For the most part I loved it and loved going to school... for the social aspect of it, not the academics.

It was a small school and everyone knew everyone. My graduating class (1985) was around 110 students. Our whole school, grades 9-12, probably had as many students as the freshman class alone of that same school has now. Talk about growth, it blows my mind!

I graduated high school in 1985 and I hated it. I probably sound mean but here goes. High school was miserable. It was a small town with some pretty wealthy snotty people (Arroyo Grande California) and I was a farmer girl. I didn't fit in with the popular kids since I had chores to do instead of going to the beach or hanging out. I got teased for having long skinny legs and glasses and driving an old car (whicih I worked to pay for and could outrun most of their fancy new cars - Love a Ford V-8). And I was a latebloomer so I looked like a teenage boy with long hair down to my rear. I'm still thin but not as thin as I'd like to be, long hair, no makeup and live on a farm with old vehicles but in another state. At least I don't look like a teenage boy anymore!

And I love my critters and cheap to insure older vehicles!

Overall ... I'm pretty happy! I get annoyed but I love my kids and my critters and usually my husband!

And I wouldn't go back.

I graduated in 2000 with a class of 110 from a school on the Iron Range. 90 actually got diplomas, though. My dad still works at that school, and I was told that if I really wanted to see it, I'd have to visit soon. They're in budget crisis. They're starting to join with another school, and I was told it probably wouldn't take long before things really changed. I loved the building though. Built in 1910 and had tons of character! It was really well kept and so it still stands. There was an addition in the fifties, I believe and recently they finally came up to code with the elevators in the new part.

I didn't care for the overall experience. Most of the teachers were great, but my class in particular was very clique-ish. I didn't belong to any one group, but floated. Most people couldn't understand that. College was much better for me.

I graduated in 1974. Small town HS. No big deal, you just get through it and you're done. I also don't remember much of it either. We're talking 70's here! I liked my chorus class though.
