This isn't about a predator; it's about a birdseed eating monster and I can't figure out what it could be. This morning the whole hanging bird feeder was on the ground and totally empty. Other times, "it" reached the feeder and managed to tip it so all the seeds fell out, upon which, it ate them all (about 4 cups worth)!! My husband says he has seen it and here's how he describes it. It's the color of a fox, has a long bushy tail, is bigger than a squirrel - maybe about the size of a large cat. He says it's not a skunk or a raccoon or a squirrel. What furry beast would want to eat bird seed and what could it be? Any ideas?
