What will this grow into?

I agree with jenjscott - Araucana, because of the leg color and tuffs. A little Cockeral because its an extra, and even at this age you can see the comb of such.

A cross because of the muffs and do I see somewhat of a beard. This would make it an EE, but not the Ameraucan lineage crossed with whatever. Probaby Araucan crossed with Ameraucana. This little cockeral could throw Araucana chicks.

If you don't want him send him my way. I have a black and gold Ameraucana (Araucana) Cross (thus an EE) that throws little Buttless Wonders all the time and she lays the bluest eggs. Yes, that is what I call them not EE's and I do have EE's too with the willow green legs that lay blue eggs not green eggs, but they are EE's. Black and Gold is a recessive Auraucana, just looks like any old chicken, no tuffs and with a tail. If mated with an Auraucana I am sure she would hatch Auraucana chicks. But I don't have an Araucana Roo and won't mate her to one of her son's, so I don't keep them as they are crosses.

Sorry, it's late and I am up waiting on Coturnix quail that are hatching early. And I simply don't have anything else I want to do this late.

That chick has muffs, not tufts. And the legs should be willow-green if the chick was an Araucana. Also, that color is not an Araucana color. And last, no hatchery sells Araucanas. Crossing one bird with another who may have Araucana in it does not give Araucanas - It gives Easter Eggers, crossbred chickens with blue in their egg genes. Both Ameraucanas and Araucanas have their own breed standards and are purebred. Easter Eggers are anything that may lay blue or green eggs, but do not qualify as an Ameraucana or Araucana.

Someone has to hurry up and tell us what this little critter is, hehe~ I couldn't wait to get to the end of the postings to see, but no one has come up with a conclusion yet!! I know it's absolutely adorable, that's the only thing for certain!

I hatched out a few EE's this color but mine ended up being pullets.
As previously stated though Hatchery rare chicks ae usually a cockerel.
Would it be extra rare if they sent a pullet as the extra chick??
This picture is not too good but the only one I could find on
this computer of the EE's I hatched at an older age. They are the
dark colored ones in the pic.

Possibly an Americauna because of the muffs.Araucana would have tufts and hopefully be rumpless. My EE had a gold stripe around the eyes and was "fluffier"....called a chipmunk type. I guess only time will tell if male but I think it probably is male. BTW I don't think Mcmurray carries true Araucana from their description and the picture shows full tailfaethers.

Here are the laying hens I ordered that the bonus chick came with. I sure hope it is not a roo I told the rep I live in the city and could not have a roo.

Whatever he is, he's so darned cute I just want to pinch his little fluffy cheeks!

Unfortunately, I don't think the reps from the hatcheries give a whole lot of thought to what we are or aren't allowed to have when it comes to packing peanuts.

EE's are NOT all Striped chipmunk colored green legged chicks...The color of this chick is very much EE as well as the legs. They sent me one nearly identical to this one in my Feb order..one of the only chicks to survive. We raise EE's not one has green legs or stripes as chicks that is a misconception made by generality.
It is not an Ameraucana www.ameraucana.org it doesn't come close.Hatcheries DON'T sell them
It's not an Araucana among other things this is a beaded chick Hatcheies DON'T sell them
We raise Ameraucana and Easter Eggers...see these chicks by the hundreds.I would post some pics but this is a new computer and the EE chick pics are not in here.
Now our second order to replace the box of dead chicks did have a Polish pullet as my exotic rare chick but they messed up so many times on my order like billing me twice they needed to redeem them selves!
